Our Finest 360° Panorama Head
MK Panorama Systeme, Germany, has launched what we consider to be our finest mechanical panorama head into the world market, the precision-made MK PanoHead 3. The head is part of our modular system, which includes our motorised rotator, the MK PanoMachine, and our Vertical Drive.
Designed to provide pinpoint accuracy when taking cylindrical, spherical and multi-row panoramas, the MK PanoHead 3 is tailored to suit our 5-degree horizontal rotator with stops all 15° / 18° or 24° or the motorised MK PanoMachine.
Its 12mm profile makes it stable enough to hold not only SDLR cameras with standard lenses, but also the heavier loads of telephoto lenses, since the bracket is made from anodized aluminium, the strongest and lightest material available.
With a 180-degree vertical tilt centred on the entrance pupil, the upper arm has scaling for every five degrees as well as stops all 15°. This can be replaced with a motorised vertical drive when used in combination with our innovative MK PanoMachine, providing pinpoint accuracy, thereby reducing your overall workflow and increasing your productivity.
Four spirit levels help when levelling the system, and an optional Berlebach Quick Release plate is available.
Options
The MK PanoHead 3 is available with two different options: for use with the MK PanoMachine, a horizontal rotator is not necessary, and although the vertical arm can be supplied with a manual hinge, it is recommended that you use our Vertical Drive, giving you that little extra in precision, which will aid you in template and batch stitching. Otherwise, the PanoHead 3 can be supplied with two manual rotators. The bracket has a standard 3/8" thread for attachment to a standard tripod.
Open System
Our modular design also allows the use of other manufacturers' components, giving it a flexibility offered by few of our competitors. This means that other manual and motorised rotators, such as those of Manfrotto, Novoflex, Really Right Stuff, Seitz Roundshot and Nodal Ninja can be substituted for the standard ones we provide.
